Benalmadena overview

Benalmadena Costa is one of the quieter resort towns on the burgeoning Costa del Sol. It sits betwixt lazy hills and dazzling coast, in between over-the-top Torremolinos and Fuengirola on the Sun Coast, and is good for those who actually prefer to see some sun and do a spot of sightseeing when on holiday. While the long, wide Benalmadena beach is not the best along the south coast, it has clean seas and is flanked by one of Spain’s most happening marinas. Benalmadena is not as pretentious as nearby Marbella, yet there is plenty of opportunity to splash out and shop and dine in style, and is also has an old town (Benalmadena Pueblo). Get in by flying to Malaga and bussing, training, or driving south to Benalmadena.
