Cadiz overview

Cadiz Travel Guide
Cadiz occupies a sliver of a peninsular in southwest Spain and is noted for its Venice-like carnival, its fun old town and nearby sand dunes. Cadiz is the quintessential old Spanish centre, with its whitewashed abodes liberally spread about, and is excellent value for money. Seafood restaurants are en-masse, ready to satisfy eager taste buds, and there are also some fine local wines to sample, courtesy of a profusion of celebrated vineyards. Get out of town and you have mouth-watering beaches and one of the Spanish coasts’ foremost protected areas; Donana National Park. Cadiz is a bit more of a pain to get to as it doesn’t have an airport or rail access; although nearby Jerez de la Frontera has both.
