Calella overview

Calella Travel Guide
Situated on the Costa Maresme about 50kms or so up from Barcelona, Calella is a quaint town far removed from the excesses of Spain’s second city and the nearby resorts of the busier Costa Brava. The main draw is the beautiful Calella beaches, and the main one fronts the town and rarely becomes overrun. There is also an abundance of rocky jetties while the town itself is small and cute and looks a bit like something straight out of the Aegean. Calella also brags modernity in the form of shopping arcades and beach water sports and is a good day trip from Barcelona. In addition, there is good walking and plenty of tapas bars to snack at. Barcelona’s El Prat International Airport is the main entry point.
