Costa Brava overview

Costa Brava Travel Guide
Mainly covering the middle of the Spanish east coast around the big holiday towns of Alicante, Valencia, and Barcelona, the popular Costa Brava coast has oodles of beaches and resorts to holiday at. Translated as Rough Coast, Costa Brava is fairly rugged, which adds further appeal for those who enjoy secluded coves and mountain trekking. It also comes with a good dollop of sandy beaches that gently slope into the warm Mediterranean. The capital of the Costa Brava is the old town of Girona in the north of the region and inland somewhat, while the largest, most buzzing resort is that of Lloret de Mar between Girona and Barcelona. Those looking for hot sun away from loud crowds can head for the likes of Tossa de Mar or Blanes. Girona, Barcelona, Valencia and Alicante all have airports.
