Jaen overview

Jaen Travel Guide
Jaen is a large, lofty centre in the Andalusia region of southern Spain, a couple of hours to the right of Cordoba. If you’re into culture and history in non-touristy climes, Jaen could be for you. It sits across mid-sized hills and is flanked by the higher ones of the Sierra de Jaen, while the best spot to discern the mass of monuments is from Catalina's Castle; an impressive 13th century monolith-like structure right in the middle of it all. The streets are winding and charming and loaded up with tapas bars and outlets plying traditional Andaluscian tack, while out of town is a profusion of olive groves. Cordoba is the entry point.
