Logrono overview

The Spanish town of Logrono is located in the heart of La Rioja province. It is most famous for its Rioja wine and most visitors come here to sample the wine, some wine and more wine. Inevitably, there are many ‘wine and walking’ tours on offer in the city and it’s not unusual to see happy, smiling tourists staggering around the beautiful Santa Maria de Palacio church with a glass of vino in their hand. The tapas scene is also popular in Logrono and every weekend along the Calle Laurel, both locals and tourists go tapas bar hopping, sampling tasty tapas from each bar washed down naturally with a glass of the local Rioja.
