Menorca overview

Menorca Travel Guide
Menorca is located in the Spanish Balearic Islands. It is quieter than its neighbours, Mallorca and Ibiza but it’s got more beaches than Mallorca and Ibiza combined. The island is popular with young families. Menorca is famous for its delicious food and the local specialty is spiny lobster. The King of Spain often pops over for some spiny lobster at his favourite restaurant that overlooks the harbour. If you enjoy a drink with your meal but you are bored of sangria and Spanish wine, there is a gin factory over in Xouriger. Not surprisingly, the British introduced gin to the Spanish back in the 18th century and a little known fact about Menorca that the French don’t like to admit to is that mayonnaise was actually invented in Menorca and not France.
