Murcia overview

Murcia is so far one of the less touristy and unspoilt beach regions in Spain. It is much quieter and more picturesque than the overcrowded two-week package tour resorts found in the neighbouring region of the Costa Blanca. So if you are looking for hoards of British pubs serving English food and watching Premiership football games; Murcia is not for you. Murcia has more than 250kms of wonderful sandy beaches along the Costa Calida. The city of Murcia is a pleasant place to explore. It has a superb cathedral and a great selection of tapas bars rather than English fish and chips and makes a great base for exploring the towns of Cartagena and Lorca and visiting the lovely Parque Natural de Sierra Espu?a.
