Nerja overview

Nerja Travel Guide
Nerja is a Spanish beach resort in Malaga Province on the Costa del Sol. Although it has been developed to cater for tourists, it has still managed to retain its Spanish feel, in spite of the arrival of many British pubs to the town. The area is home to many beaches, although some are quite coarse sand so if you are looking for a white soft sandy beach head to Burriana beach where you will have to share the sand with many other tourists. However the mountain backdrop to Nerja beach is very pretty while Burriana beach is home to supposedly the best paella in Spain. The caves near Nerja are the areas most popular attraction and every July, a flamenco festival takes place in one of the caverns.
