Tenerife overview

Tenerife is the largest island in the Canary Islands. Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje and Playa de las Americas are the busiest resorts on the island catering predominantly for the British and German tourists. So don’t worry if you can’t live without your full English breakfast or The Sun newspaper; it’s all available in Tenerife although towel-reservations on the sun loungers can cause constant towel wars. The beach resorts in the southwest of the island are quieter except during carnival time. The main natural attraction is Mount Teide and it can be seen from all over the island. Also, Tenerife is apparently the best place in the world for UFO spotting so don’t forget to pack your binoculars; just in case.
